i think nothing will compare to hearing the ILIWYS intro for the first time, suspecting what they might do but not knowing it for sure

 

Yeah, this does seem to be the case. :(

 

Maybe it shouldn't be a surprise, but whenever I go see bands and they play the new songs- there is never as big of a crowd reaction as the crowd here. I am so glad to hear the full embrace and excitement of the new record in a live setting.

 

Yikes. That’s a total cop-out. Why not have the audio from the newly recorded one?

 

Does anyone know if those are foot steps at the end of "Petrichor"? Sounds cool as hell.

Really like the idea of them giving disposable cameras to people in the front row at each show

 

Once the beat in How To Draw / Petrichor goes in this weird direction with almost hospital like beeps and that eerie Lost-y bassline, I lose it everytime. This is such an incredibly written song.

 

I’m getting the feeling they’re gonna do a proper re-imagination of 102 for Notes

 

Around the 4:15 mark? That's my favorite moment of the album. I like the Lost comparison

 

Yes! This part is so haunting, that it makes me imagine how well it would sound paired with a scene in a movie or a TV show.

Who said earlier in the thread that The 1975 makes them like other music less, cause that's definitely the case. Not to mention - the amount of content they've given makes it hard to want to listen to any other band.

 

They have reached the spot where I get annoyed other bands aren't making music as good.

It happens when I go on JEW deep dives too. It's like, "WHY CAN'T ANYONE ELSE BE GENIUSES AT COMBINING MELODY AND AWESOMENESS."

Anytime I play a diff band on my iPhone I hear a disappointed Matty in my mind "so I've heard you've found somebody else" and I just flip back to The 1975.
