I'm personally a much bigger fan of his earlier material, especially "Spaces", but still some good ones on "All Melody"

 

Yeah, compositionally those are heads and shoulders above but the spacing and production on the new one is absolutely bonkers

 

I think I might just watch this interview again tomorrow at work, it's that good

Also thank you! It was like my third or fourth time getting off, I relapsed after 17 months clean. hoping I can make it to that point again and take it even further. But it’s hard. Relapsing is hard. Really shakes your confidence especially after how long I had been clean for. And how quickly it escalated this last time, ended up changing my route of administration to the most dangerous one for the first time and couldn’t stop once that box was open. It was a rough, traumatizing summer

 

Sending my love to anyone struggling with addiction in any form, or anyone who knows someone struggling because I know the toll it takes on friends and family. Drugs, food, gambling, etc. anything. If you need anyone to talk to or have questions about anything my PMs are always open. You aren’t alone and you can get through it. You’re only human and you have a disease. Remember that, I often forget and beat myself up over every mistake I make. But you are loved and you are worth it and you can get through your addiction. You got this. We got this.

 

My mom entered rehab for the first time at 60. Been struggling for a long time with various substances. It’s so difficult watching someone go through it and feeling helpless. If you’re going through it, I feel for you. And I hope the best for you.

 

People on Reddit that have received their pre orders are saying their tracking didn’t update until it was in their home town or delivered, so hopefully that’s the case.

I'm in overload mode. I think I've read/watched/listened to everything at this point. Must be hard to do Promo for your own art. Repeating the same lines/concepts/theories over and over to different people. There are like 10 pull quotes that are in every discussion. I know he loves to hear himself talk, but GOD it must get exhausting at times.

This guy I used to work with said YAKNOWATIMEAN after every sentence. So pissing annoying hahaha. But I’ve always seen that as an ‘I’m uncomfortable and need reassuring that I’m making sense to you’ kinda phrase.

I love how LOUD it gets. Really emphasises the quiet moments. Though the OG intro will always be my favourite, with ILIWYS being my least favourite intro.

 

people underestimate how much work a press cycle for a new album can be, especially for big bands like this where every publication under the sun wants to talk to them. im sure its draining for matty, but he also seems genuinely excited to be talking about this album and what it means.
