The 1975 - A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (November 30, 2018) Album • Page 421

  1. I think this point resonates most with me about Matty Healy - all the music this band makes and creates directly flies in the face of that shitty mindset - the unabashed bravado and vulnerable honesty is the type of mixture that doesn't allow for any cynicism or too cool for school mindsets

and that's why I fucking love this band

  2. Live Lounge has been a thing forever, how can you waste so much time and energy writing this

  3. hahaha side C of the vinyl set kicks off with the man who married a robot and I find that really funny - I feel like it was totally intentional to start off the second half of the vinyl listening experience with that track

  5. Artist in the studio puts their spin on the popular song of the moment, happens to be by a woman they admire and respect, not good enough for some people who get all possessive about it for reasons which escape me

plus it's not like The 1975 haven't been covered by any well-known women

Hahaha I didn't even read that part, I can't even take it seriously then. If you follow popular music even a little bit you have to have at least seen their name pop up a few times.

I meant the Temple, I’ve updated my post with the one I went to.

It’s an O2 venue now yes and sounds typically shite with overzealous security and expensive drinks.

Random side note, the Academy group have bought Starworks in Wolverhampton so that might be becoming one too.

I Like America is a pretty fucking cool song, the desperation and urgency in Matty's vocals, mixed with the way they distort his voice just mesh together is such an effective way

Lol, Ryan Adams did exactly what Matty did around the time his version of 1989 came out. He gushed about how great of a songwriter Taylor is and spent a lot of time in interviews praising the craft of 1989 and Fearless. I feel like this person is raging at a kind of "rock artist ironically covers famous pop song" phenomenon that hasn't really happened widely in at least half a decade. Most covers are gestures of homage and admiration.

Pretty sure that they are the same. It's apparently a "UO Exclusive/5000" but not sure

my order from Urban is saying 12/7 ship date.

  22. Heh, they haven't even sent it to the PR people yet. Don't think I don't harass them all the time. I've heard a sampler from it, and it's very-very-good.

It’s funny cause my friend (who doesn’t like The 1975 but loves Jeff/Antarctica Vespucci) made this joke to me this morning when I told him he should give this one a try

I have the same, and called to verify they weren't actually sold out. They said they were having issues receiving them from the vendor but they will ship on the 7th. Fingers crossed.
