I mean you say ‘leak’ but again - they can’t sell it. So unless someone steals a sealed copy there’s no leak surely!

Very miffed off. Bought Love It If We Made It as a single on iTunes when it came out. Noticed today it’s not in my library. I go on the store and it’s not available as a single anymore. The song shows as purchased on the album itself, but I can’t download it and it won’t let me re-purchase - though I shouldn’t have to do that anyway. It isn’t even in my purchased list or downloads section. I have Spotify, but for anybody who uses both, you’ll know that if you purchase a song on iTunes and then listen to the Spotify equivalent (even on highest quality), the iTunes version is significantly louder/higher quality. Very frustrating! Now I need the leak more than ever paha.

Not sure if this is helpful, but in Spotify you can disable the “audio normalization” setting, which is likely what’s making Spotify so much quieter for you. I returned to Spotify recently, and once I disabled that setting my track volumes sounded pretty much the same as in iTunes/Apple Music.

Did you accidentally delete it? Can you search for the file on your computer as opposed to just in your iTunes library? Downloaded tracks on iTunes can’t really just vanish into the ether unless you delete them yourself...

Actually I’ve been speaking to their support team and they’ve mentioned this has happened because the single was pulled and there’s an issue with the transfer from the single version to the album copy. It has indeed...disappeared. Nothing to do with deleting it, which I haven’t.

It’s listed as purchased in the album now as opposed to the single. But I still cannot access it as it’s greyed out and not in my purchased list, downloads or on my laptop. So yep. Disappeared into the ‘ether’. Apple have given me a load of credits as an apology while they try to fix it.

I’m pretty sure that happened to me before on iTunes too... very frustrating. I hope they fix it for you.

Would you believe it’s only happened twice for me, both with The 1975 as a result of them either pulling singles or putting up new versions. Thanks, they’ve got some manager chap trying to fix it for me now.

I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m just trying to understand how it’s even possible for Apple/iTunes to reach into your computer and delete a file that you’ve bought and downloaded and saved. That sounds wacky to me.
