sadly there is basically no chance of a blue nile reunion happening ever again

paul buchanan has reportedly had a second solo record in the tank for... a while now, but i haven't heard anything about it in years

 

I liked the last BN album a lot, more than the 3rd but that was also still good

 

yeah high is awesome and includes my favorite blue nile song, "stay close." peace at last is frustrating bc it's so different from any other blue nile record but i still love it

 

also for anyone who loves hats but hasn't heard anything else: a walk across the rooftops is nearly as crucial. "heatwave"!

 

I might have liked High and Walk about the same. There was one song I loved more than anything on either Peace or High but I can't remember it now

I have not, but I certainly recognize that album cover! I’ll put this in line for my weekend listening.

I work like 5 minutes from NW, sooo I mean you're welcome to come hang out and play the album in my office. Just saying.

 

I’m thinking we’ll get one more single two weeks from now, a month after It’s Not Living... From the descriptions I would think it would be I Like America & America Likes Me. I’d be fine without another, but I think it would be weird to have nothing before the album.

I just can’t wait to listen to this. I’m so excited.

So I was listening to this cool band, who has unfortunately called it quits just after their debut album's release, and I realized that their stuff was co-written and produced by Mike Crossey. Not sure about a RIYL. Pop/pop rock with 80's influences at times? They even has a feature with CupcakKe for the interested.

 

Does he only sing at the end of this track? Seems like only Jessie singing until the very end

 

He helped write it too, and if you listen to The Blue Nile you’ll definitely catch the musical resemblance.

Okay y’all I didn’t really think The 1975 would have any competition when it came to being my AOTY, but I honestly think this Cheem album might have a fighting chance.
