Driving downtown is madness and I could never do that by myself haha

And I can’t drive over an hour without falling asleep, so that’s a no for me.

Some of my favourite moments in life have been when I've just winged it and done something by myself. Gigs, exploring overseas cities for a whole day (probably my favourite thing to do by myself), hikes in the bush, etc. Just got to do it and not worry about anything.

I go to the movies all the time. That’s the best.

I took a ferry across the San Francisco Bay and took an Uber to Muir Woods with 50% phone battery, zero service and an hour of sunlight left during a business trip a few years ago and it was worth it.

Luckily there was a cab in the parking lot who took me to the next town over so I could call an Uber once I had service and I just expensed all of it to my company.

I've probably said it before but I drove 4 and change round trip to see them night before graduation which I had to get up at 6 for. Best night, worst morning ever.

No, it's not. 16 is a larger number than 15.
The last two songs are so bad. I would love that album if not for those songs.

    all we have is time

Pretty sure they're referring to the run-time. The S/T is 50 minutes while the new one is 58. So technically not their shortest album haha

Got it. Wow, how do people know the runtime already?

The album's been out 2.5 years now, there's no excuse to call those songs bad or out of place at this point

I adore nana but I skip she lays down. I don’t think it’s bad I just don’t find myself drawn to it.

In retrospect, the final third of ILIWYS (“Nana” and “She Lays Down” especially) are a really clear look at where Matty is trying to take his writing in this next album. It’s a stripping down of the ironic self-detachment that colors most of their other songs (especially the first third).

Nana and She Lays Down are so personal and an essential ending to the album

The waver in his voice in Nana kills me.

She Lays Down is one of my favorite songs on the album tbh

  25. She Lays Down may be my favorite song on the album. it is a crushing, bare, and overwhelmingly loving song that puts the whole album in context for me.
