21 and have been hoping my cheek/mustache/goatee would connect for the past three years...doesnt seem like it’s gonna happen

 

I'm 30 and starting to be ok with how my facial hair grows in (or doesn't quite) but it could not be called a beard by any stretch

I do not understand listener's negative reaction to the guitar...it rips. Reminds me of the time Bon Iver put out “Heavenly Father” and my friend hated it because of the synth/vocal thing going on, was just like, really? I was fully expecting to like whatever they put out considering everything they’ve done I have loved, but this is a really, really great song. Not that I think of myself as being even close to the same league as them, but every time they put out new music I’m like damn, another song I didn’t write.

 

i'm with matty, whiskey sucks.

 

There are so many small moments in this that it’s really making me reevaluate how to write songs for my own project

 

I like writing short stories, and a lot of Matty’s lines make me jealous that I didnt think of them. Chief of them all being “I’m the Greek economy of cashing intellectual cheques”

"Growing a beard's quite hard and whiskey never starts to taste nice" is one of the most relatable lines he's ever written.

 

If you’re not digging this song, I wouldn’t be worried. I’m pretty sure “love me” was the first song released last album cycle and I don’t think any of the other songs on I like it when you sleep... sound like that

This just played on the Oahu alternative station and I’ve never cranked the volume faster

 

Had some cab and getting high as fuck and this song is absolutely perfect. Top 5 1975 song now, probably my favorite single
