Really really dig it. I'm wondering if these two albums are going to be shorter than usual. I can't wait to see what else is on this album and the hopefully inevitable visual/music video tomorrow

Considering Matty had almost 2 hours of MFC demos nearly or over a year ago whenever that photo was shared, my guess is no

the mix on this is really thin. hope it grows on me with time.

I hated the STD line written out but in the context and how it's sung it's absolutely amazing

 

That song was crazy divisive went it first dropped - I took a while to warm up to it too, but Give Yourself A Try only took like 3 listens then I'm like "oh yeah- this is good."

 

I love the vocals - very reminiscent of earlier stuff. Did they self produce this - I think it might have something to do with it.

 

Yup George did all of it himself with it sounds like the band helping

 

Honestly it's probably a clean all tube amplifier dimed. Tubes are probably about to fail. Just a guess.

Ok just heard the song..

1. As a casual fan of this band this is instantly my new favorite song from them after Loving Someone/Somebody Else

2. The guitar is very, very cool. People asking how they can listen without it should delete their posts. GTFO.

3. It reminds me of Disorder by Joy Division

4. The lyrics are great

5. Vocally, I don't think Matty has ever sounded better.

Pretty excited for this. This thread was fun to read.

 

This isn't bad, but I'm not super into it either. Love Me is better than this, but then again, Love Me is one of my favorite songs off the last record.
