I said it before, but they never even hinted at a full album drop. It was ridiculous to ever speculate they would.

 

I'd hardly call it "ridiculous" to speculate that we'd get a full album on June 1, considering how often they teased the date of June 1 before this countdown even began.

 

They have always done long ass rollouts. They are big, but I wouldn’t call them big enough to do a full album drop and have it be successful. They teased a date last rollout- they just like to really drag things out.

Fucking ace albums tho

 

Arctic Monkeys just did a month long roll out with no singles before the album. The 1975 could have easily done that as well but they probably want the album to sell well and to make it feel more like an “era”.

 

I don't want an album. I'm not ready yet. I'm not strong enough

 

I think they wanna sell more records over this “era” than Arctic Monkeys. If they have a big lead up single, it gives it time for it to possibly get up the charts and bring more attention to them.

 

Everything is a spectacle with them so they’re going to milk the attention for as long as they can.

 

I still bet the actual rollout post announcement will be pretty short

 

I’m going to say a November release date.

 

I seriously hope sooner than November but who really knows. I could see all the hype being built round June 1st being sufficient enough to drop a single/video and announce the album coming out after a month or less, or I could see them doing a long ass roll out again.

 

Let’s go with December and it turns out it was all just for that Christmas song we never got.

 

tranquility base hotel + casino literally doesnt have any single ready songs, i highly doubt the 1975 would pick now to make an unexpected turn into non-pop structured music across the board

The only thing that will make me strong enough is diving headfirst into the album.

the need for immediate gratification has quite literally ruined my life several times over since its one of the trademarks of a super addictive personality
