Next time that happens just give him a suicide

This might not have been a thing when you were a kid but in the 90s all the kids loved it. It's gross though

Not letting a parent buy their kids tickets to a rated R movie.

Also a policy of your #1 objective being to make money.

They just have to see the movie with the kid. I honestly think it should go further and not let any kid under 13 in to see an R movie at all.

I think it should be up to the parents what their kids are allowed to see, especially given all of the politics that go into a movie’s rating and that bloody gore and violence can be PG-13 but a handful of fucks can get you an R.

It’s not dumb at all. Do you know how many issues that would cause where I’d have to go into the auditorium cause the kid is being a little shit? It’s preventative. If you paid $30 to go to the movies with your wife would you really want two 8 year olds sitting next to you?

I agree that parents should be able to decide what their kids watch.....at home. Not at a business where their kid can be disruptive

Not if they’re being little shits, but I wouldn’t want to sit next to 18-year olds or 80-year olds acting like that either and I wouldn’t presume their behavior based on age alone.

I dont know that i fully agree with this stance, but for a good example of what not to do: at my fantasy football draft yesterday, one of the guys there brought his kids and his like 3-4 year old son kept saying that Pennywise is scary. I was side-eyeing his dad hard after that.

Look man. You haven’t worked in the movie business for 4 years+, I have. You’re just wrong on this one. I can assure you with 100% certainty that allowing little kids into R movies would simply cause more issues than not. Does it solve every problem? Of course not. But you gotta minimize as many factors as you can. We even have a policy that kids under 8 or some shit aren’t allowed into a rated R film after 6pm even if their parents are with them. Why??? Because little kids cause issues even when their parents are there and often parents don’t have sense enough to deal with it properly. There have been times where I’ve been lenient on this policy and it bit me in the ass cause the child was being disruptive and another customer complained about it.

Often, parents are so dumb that they don’t even realize the content of the movie they are buying tickets for. I legit had a dude bring his two little daughters tickets to Spring Breakers thinking it was some dumb party/fun movie and then homie came running out of the auditorium after it started haha. Imagine if he just bought the tickets for his kids and left? Children often don’t have the skills to discern if something is appropriate for them or not and would probably just start crying. And then what, am I, a 26 year old male, supposed to approach a 7 year old girl and kick her out? Get real

But the same kid could be equally disruptive in a PG-13, PG, or even G movie. Are they allowed in those after 6? The content of the movie doesn’t necessarily equate to the child’s behavior.

Right but the content of the movie does often dictate the audience.

I mean have yall not been to a marvel movie on opening night when there's a bunch of little kids? 10 year olds in a pg-13 movie is a fucking nightmare

Can’t say I have, but teenagers and 20-somethings in any movie are a fucking nightmare too.
