Yeah, I was there for that listening party. There was one point where one of the songs goes into this kinda spoken word part and my comment was "Is this Nada Surf's 'Popular'?" or something like that.

I listened to their album too. It's good but way too long.

Honestly (probably thanks in large part to my gf) I quite like Wilder Mind as a record.

Mat from Citizen his brother Chris band The Flats announced a single and the album comes out on Aug 10th! Haven't played the single yet but I was jamming their ep from last year just last night.

I love Silverstein and Hawthorne. I’ve never listened to ACB outside of maybe a song or two that I just listened to today. So it kind of makes sense I’d be excited for those two and not them yet.

this first ACB album... man, i haven't heard this thing in FOREVERRRR. i understand it a lot better now than i did 13 years ago or whatever.

I guess it'll probably look something like

Capstan 7:00 - 7:30
ACB 7:45 - 8:15
HH 8:30 - 9:15
Silverstein 9:35 - 11:00 with maybe a couple minute break in between their album set and their "greatest hits" set

I don't know anything about Capstan, but I just looked on their bandcamp and it says if you like them you may also like TWIABP which has me intrigued

 

So isn't time to listen to more of them now?

I listened to their album (23 minutes) and they are a mix of Protest the Hero and older Silverstein. Not bad.

Hell or High Water is their most underrated record. I never understood why Gates was never officially included on that record.
