what's so great about studying traffic patterns? other than if you're a transportation analyst...which i did interview for a job as once i finished grad school ironically.

 

Fair question although as far as I know I haven't been nominated for best username.

Finishing grad school seems like a very expensive thing to do ironically.

 

which is why i was grateful when i did not make it past the phone interview stage for that job in retrospect.

 

unironically, i'm actually very lucky to have attended graduate school tuition free as a result of my assistantship...it's the only reason i went right after undergrad in the first place. otherwise, i probably wouldn't have gone so quickly.

 

Hooray for no student loans! My employer paid for my grad school so I also got very lucky.

Awesome. That's the way to go...if you can get someone else to pay for your education (even if it has strings attached like a work requirement) you'll be set. Especially in today's higher ed landscape. Shit is just way too expensive nowadays.

 

For some reason I thought his eyes were green, but sometimes they appear brownish.

 

My first year of law school was tuition free, thanks to a scholarship, but there was no way I was ever going to keep it after that first year. I still had to take out loans for living expenses though, because you're not allowed to work during your first year of law school if you're attending full time.

Not allowed to work? Never heard of that and it seems like a very tricky thing to enforce. What's the reasoning behind it?

 

Final year of internships for teaching have the same rules. Idk how they monitor if you’re working or not, but it’s just what we were told at the start of the program, so they were like “make arrangements for your final semester as you’ll be working in a classroom full-time, so you can’t be employed elsewhere” or something like that.

 

Is this directed towards @Colin Your Enthusiasm because of his public hate of Marvel movies?
