Depends on the movie. I doubt watching good fellas on bluray is that big of a deal vs DVD. It's like a 50 year old movie and I doubt there's alot do animation /cgi in that haha.

Ya but a shitty widescreen veesion has large black bars on the top and bottom of the screen and thats shitty so its not just that its not blu ray.

I rest my case your honour.

When you watch something on Blu-ray you can really see the intricacies

No joke though, the jump from DVD to Blu-ray is massive and certainly does not go unnoticed. I have yet to figure out if the jump from Blu-ray to 4K is worth it but I haven’t had that much experience

I have not had a chance to watch anything in 4k yet. Planning on getting a 4k TV this year at some point though.

Then I'll buy the best set of movies ever created for 4k - Transformers

    I have a 4K TV, but I do not have any 4K blurays or a 4K Blu-ray player so it’s useless lol

So cant play blu ray with 4k?

Well first you need to actually buy a 4K Blu-ray, which are a little bit more expensive, and you need a device capable of actually paying 4K. It’s like a 3 step process

I have an Xbox one which plays 4k bluray.

Dont buy physical movies usually unless it's a really good deal. I bought the bluray 3 pack of Chappie, District 9 and elysium but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Mainly bought it for the digital codes and it was only like $6 for the set.

Every time I buy a DVD or blu ray I never watch it and just watch Netflix because I'm lazy

I have a similar problem. I don’t watch Netflix really, but I just buy blurays and then watch nothing

I can’t do Netflix because the endless amount of choice usually causes me to scroll for an hour and I never pick anything. Buying movies is my way of saying, you spent money on this, you’re gonna watch it or it’s wasted. Bought Dr. Strangelove today with the B&N sale still going for criterion. Watched it this afternoon, first time seeing it. Brilliant movie. $20 well spent.

Also, that is like a 50+ year old movie, and it looked great on blu ray.

I know movies look better in bluray I just think some movies don't benefit as much as other movies.
