I’m just so excited for the future of these characters and VAs. There’s so many ways they can proceed with this group that they can really make some fantastic and fun stories if they have the right team. Feels like they’ll only get better as they go along, now they can focus on a strong Shredder storyline. One of my few qualms was that it didn’t feel like it was a TMNT film when all of the mutants were together for a bit

Really enjoyed it but I'm stopping short of saying I loved it. Stoked this seems to be a success and will get yet another generation of kids into the turtles. I really liked some of the needle drops and thought the score was really well done. I forgot it was Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross until the Splinter fight scene and thought the music for that scene in particular was really dope.

My nit-picky criticisms are that Bebop & Rocksteady were entirely forgettable in this version. The Bay turtles version did a better job with those two and I really didn't find much to like in those films. Hopefully they become Shredder's henchmen in the sequel and they give them more to do. I also agree with the person above me who said at times it didn't feel like a TMNT film but that could also be seen as a good thing and what makes this version stand out from the others over the years.

This was fantastic. Obviously influenced by the success of spiderman even down to the score at times, but overall, it was a really nice story with great animation and acting, and funny throughout. Super fun good time at the movies.

EDIT: Also like, the most predictable end credits scene ever right? I mean as soon as it ended, I sat there for that exact moment.

Finally got to see this today with my kids and had a great time. My kids have no background with the Ninja Turtles so this was a fun introduction.

“So, if the ray that turns animals into mutants explodes under water where there are underwater animals…what…what do you think that does?”

Paul Rudd was so good in this. Also got a good laugh at, “One little horse? That’s it? I don’t need that horse.”

Animation was really cool and I was constantly watching the scribbles in the background of shots and thinking about the early 2000s when the newfound advancements in computer generated animation led to the determination to make “photorealistic” creations like the Final Fantasy movie and Polar Express and the lessons we all took away from that.

The running gag about being milked got me good when the turtles are bemoaning their fate of being milked after all, Cynthia Utrom smiles and tells the henchmen to continue milking them until they had everything they needed, and then it cuts away to a massive milk bottle displaying how much they have left to go to meet their goal lol.

Bought this the other day on UHD. This is probably my new favorite TMNT movie, it’s such a fun movie and the animation looks amazing in 4K.
