Anthology vinyl came in. looks and sounds good for the most part, but was a pain in the ass to sleeve.

What did you do to sleeve it? I'm hoping to get it for Christmas, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

so i know a number of people place their sleeved records in the outer sleeve between or behind the gatefold to avoid ringwear, but i personally don't do this as it warps the plastic outer sleeve, might press against the record behind it and still cause ringwear on that record, and feels odd when the discs are only being protected by a couple thin layers of plastic and HDPE.

if you're looking to do that though, i've seen some folks either a) store the printed inner sleeves and insert in the gatefold while putting two records between the gatefold itself and 1 outside the gatefold, or b) store one of each record and printed sleeve in each side of/between/behind the gatefold. both of these methods would work best with oversized outer sleeves (i get mine from vinylstoragesolutions.ca).

on my end, my original plan was to store 2 records per side of the gatefold and put all the printed material between the gatefold (what i did with Red TV), but the sleeve had trouble closing as is, so all of the printed material is sitting behind the jacket while the records are stored as they came - just with archival sleeves.
