“I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows.” This is obviously in relation to speaking about Vienna but I wouldn’t be surprised if this means she won’t speak out at all for the election this fall.

 

i guess it would be nice if a public figure as big as Taylor spoke out about political issues, but at the same time, she doesn't owe us anything, we're not entitled to anything she wants to keep private for whatever reason. I'm thinking more of Chappell Roan here, but like, let people have their boundaries. At the end of the day, they're still just people.

 

Totally agree that she doesn't owe anything, but I also think she absolutely will endorse Kamala when the time is right
