Steve, I can apologize for some of your more bananas takes, but ranking “Treacherous” that low is flabbergasting

And damn it Craig, Martin does some of the best production work I’ve ever heard on Reputation (“So It Goes”, “Dancing with Our Hands Tied”)

 

I don't care for her music video catalog tbh. That's my hot take of the day.

 

"Dancing" is terrific. His work on "Delicate" is great, too. I just find the production on most of his tracks on that record to be really exhausting and stifling. "Ready for It" and "I Did Something Bad," in particular, are songs where I like the writing but just find to be pummeling in how they're rendered on record. Though I guess I can't just blame Martin, because "Look What You Made Me Do" has the same problems. But I do feel that, generally, that album really opens up and breathes a little on the Jack songs.

“treacherous” is a total masterpiece and if you don’t agree i don’t wanna hear it

 

I've always found it fascinating how she doesn't really have a signature look or famous iconic video but has still managed to be the biggest star in the world

Interseting tidbit, very related, apparently the offical Taylor Swift facebook page uploaded 35 music videos this morning. I'd assume it's to take ownership over them instead of Big Machine?

Yeah I'd say the most iconic look for a music video she had was maybe in the band camp tee from you belong with me? That one is instantly recognizable. The others are more like great gowns, beautiful gowns but not super unique looks. I will say that I blame her for why I would curl my hair and never brush them out as a teen . Loved her curls and now I look back at old picks of me and I'm like omg sis at least run your fingers through them! The Taylor effect.

 

See that's what I thought but someone made me believe recently that its about John. So now I have to tell that person they are VERY VERY WRONG!

 

Delicate is such a banger that hits ya right in the feeeeelzzzzz.

 

Pretty sure all the songs about John are on Speak Now. And by "all," I mean "Dear John" and "The Story of Us."

well thankfully he figured out his Ego was bigger than the planet. He's a much more humble and chill human now...Touring with the Dead really changed him for the better.
