I do believe Steel Train were a great band either way and would have been signed elsewhere if not Drive Thru

 

Small world the guy in Steel Train was in a band called Outline that played at like little VFW halls near me. They toured with Finch and I remember them getting booed off and things thrown at them. Even though I didn't like them, that was pretty disgusting. Everyone would say how talented they were but I wasn't much of a fan. Really didn't expect a Steel Train conversation in here lol. I think "great" is a stretch but some people were into them. I'm not sure they were the sound people were looking for at the time.

 

Great is not a stretch, they made Trampoline and self titled, two extremely great albums

 

he also dated Scarlett Johanson in high school which is insane

 

That Love Story remix has been a blast to drive around to all weekend.

 

I just remember seeing Steel Train in a small cafe in Temecula one time and being like... why would anyone play here? I think it was just the band members and maybe 10 actual paying people at the "show" which was setup in a corner of the shop. I wanna say it was An Angle, Socratic, Halifax and Steel Train.

 

I was thinking this too – kinda wild to me that she's not unanimously considered one of the most talented singers of her generation. she sounds incredible on the new song

My guess is that "That's When" will be the one that features Keith Urban, since that old demo version of it had a male vocal on it as well.
