Sounds like 2017 in a nutshell to me.

 

Imagine how people would have reacted if Twitter was big when Kanye released an album on 9/11.

 

This dude is crazy. He is now arguing that the dollar bill somehow isn't a reference to the court case because she didn't win the case before she shot the video...as if she didn't make her damages demand when the case was initially filed like years ago lol. What a joke.

People just can't admit they were wrong. Just say, "I had limited information. With the information I had, it looked like X. But now i see it was almost certainly Y. My bad. It is the perils of making a video with some fairly abstract references."

That guy is a dumb fuck. God, I hate Twitter.

 

Taylor did what she needed to do to get her damn point across. She's pissed off, she's hurt.....she's a woman and no she's not perfect...clearly....but I'm sure that she knows she screwed up in a few ways just like any other human. But that music video was way better than some of the ones nominated last night. I've been watching the VMA's for a good 25 years and this is one of the best we've had in probably 5 years.

Also, Kendrick Lamar and Khalid killed it last night!

 

I remember the early days of Twitter when I would literally just tweet song lyrics and funny things that happened to me all day (or at least funny to me) and I had like 5 friends that were actually on it. Now its starting to stress me out.

 

I think about "if we had Twitter when _______" more than I should.

 

Video is at 28 million views, 6 more hours to get 11 million more for most views in 24 hours. Video already is in second place for the all time list, just beat out Adele's "Hello" video.

 

I'm sure the dollar could have been put in the shot digitally after the case too. People are dumb.

I love everything she has done, except this. I wish I didn't dislike this so much but I do. It's so dated.

Everything appears to be on a stage or green screen, plus minimal extras who I'm sure signed multiple NDAs. Much easier to clamp down on something when it have that control.

I really hope her LA date is at Staples or something instead of Rose Bowl. She's huge but I hope she does multiple arena dates rather than a stadium

 

Ugh I hadn't even considered that for Seattle. Not sure I'd even want to go if the day it goes on sale all I can pull are seats at the top of the stadium.
