    yep

Well missing Karma which is probably my favorite and the most fun, but those are the clear 4 highest quality songs on it for sure

i guess that's fair. still think she should open up a plant of her own for her and other artists to get their records pushed through faster, lol. it's good that she's helping keep the industry alive, but the way it currently operates isn't fully feasible in terms of its backlog.

I believe a big part of the issue is the lack of raw materials not just the lack of plants.

that's true. definitely wouldn't hurt for labels to invest in their own plants, but materials are definitely necessary to make that happen.

Along with superior sound quality (probably debatable) and ease of use, vinyl, the cost of it and lack of availability, is what's driving CD sales higher again.

I find it odd it's selling so much maybe because it's just not her traditional roll out with a massive lead single that's all over the radio that gets everyone talking. I've seen a lot of online convo about the album but when I try to talk about it with people irl nobody has listened to it yet or heard any of the songs whereas 1989 felt inescapable. Maybe I just know losers lol.

I find it funny how I'm also a huge John Mayer fan, but I was soooooooo stoked we got a song about him on this album.

ya know, just a lil reminder to him that....bro...you fucked up back in the day. Don't do it ever again lol.

The NY Times Popcast episode about this today was really interesting. They're a little more negative-to-mixed on this album than I am, but I thought the conversations about whether this album is Taylor stagnating and whether she needs a cowriter who can push back against her wordy excesses as a lyricist were interesting.

I do like this album, but like Folklore and Evermore more. I wonder if we'll look back at this one retrospectively and see Taylor trying to write like she used to and just not being *quite* as good at it.

maybe it’s just diminishing returns for some of y’all who are really into her bc I don’t see a marked decline in her songwriting with this record at all really.

There are 3-4 songs scattered through this that are a bit forgettable and/or very similar to without being as good as the highlights. But I really dig the sound and the 4-5 best tracks are a ton of fun to loop through. I feel like, in hindsight, this won’t be top of the list of her discography but it’s very good. End review.
