    Hey, that's how I hold a pencil!

I had real bad eczema on my hands/fingers when I was young, so I couldn't hold a pencil in a normal way.

I find that she apparently never had a burrito until the Lover sessions much more puzzling—according to that Netflix doc

I actually just tried to hold a pencil that way and it’s not bad! Feels oddly the same.

Listened to this a bunch today (thanks, five hours of driving).

She's really making it difficult to rank albums/songs because of such consistent high quality output. Don't have any idea what a setlist will look like, especially since it's been four albums since her last tour.

  10. That's how I hold my pencil, thanks Taylor for representing me lol

I still think New Romantics is her best song.

so relieved to see this wasn't an Antonoff track when I checked just now

That’s more of a commentary on my whiplash levels of changing my opinions sometimes so yeah I stand by what I said haha

  16. I swear I'm only cryptic and Machiavellian 'cause I care is such a great moment. some of the wordy lines on this album feel like they're overstuffing the melodies but this is one that I think works really well.

liking my favorites more and more with each listen (Question and Labyrinth really stuck out to me this time, Question in particular really pops imo) and doubling down on my criticisms also (really feel like I'm not invested until Midnight Rain, although I think You're On Your Own Kid might hit me at some point)

I think Mastermind is it for me. I can see it becoming one of my favorites of her whole discography.

    I really don't think she's intentionally referencing 30 Rock

I very much understand the lyric, but that doesn't make it good. And there's no evidence to me that she's referencing 30 Rock; they're just making the same point.

  23. and the writer is still getting abuse

be thankful they didn't really go in on it. this is why I don't write reviews for places that score anymore - read what people have to say and don't just focus on the number!! also stan culture is the worst thing to ever happen to music journalism lol

I feel like Pitchfork needs to have, like, a witness protection program for any writer who has to do a review of a major pop star that is anything less than fawning.
