This seems..... like a mistake. It would be such a huge mis-step to release on anything other than a Friday if she cares about sales numbers at all

I feel like a "Best Of" type album with just the hits and fan favorites is more likely. Oh my god what if she rerecords All Too Well.

 

If she wants to regain control of her discography, she will have to re-do every song. But like... that's going to be a huuuuge project to take on. Although, I would love to hear a re-done self-titled recording.

 

If she wants to re-record and re-sequence I want her to know my services are available

 

I could see this happening, and would wholeheartedly support it. As much as I would love to hear what she'd do with some of her older stuff if she updated it, there's a big part of me that knows too much has changed for me to not prefer the originals. She's a much better singer and overall more mature person (which is natural since that's, you know, growing up) and idk if you can really capture what a 16 year old would sing as a 30 year old. Either way, if she does a "best of" I want the 1989 versions of WANEGBT and IKYWT please and thank you.

I think the idea of "replacing" the old versions is just impossible, and would be a fools errand to try and replicate them exactly the same. A Best-of where she updates her top songs, would be a good middle ground. But BEST case scenario for me is definitely doing new versions of old songs, much like Anna mentions to do the 1989 style versions of those songs
