You cutting the soul and empathy of the record (“Soon You’ll Get Better”) is just not something I can get onboard with, and tells me we are interested in fundamentally different sides of Taylor as a songwriter.

 

Certainly a great song, mostly because lyrically, and yeah I'm pretty sure we've realized that you veer much more in the lyrical direction musically when I lean way more musically

that’s probably my favorite song on lover

 

Idk for some reason I'm never in the mood to listen to it. Lover is an odd album of hers for me. I don't go back to it much despite loving some songs from it

album continues to somehow sound better and better. she's surpassed red for me, which was like one of my maybe top 10 favourite albums so what now??

My top three are "marjorie" (probably my third or fourth favorite song she's ever done at this point), "tis the damn season," and "evermore."

 

Cowboy Like Me brings me straight to tears every time.

 

It caused me to go down a rabbit hole of looking at different wedding dresses and now instagram ads are trying to help me plan a wedding

 

the update I know you have all been waiting for is I listened to false god again and I still don't care for it. I like it lyrically but there is just nothing that really pulls me in to the song. However I do say that about Taylor quite often and then like 3 days later I'll have it stuck in my head and decide that I love it so we will see

 

Also sometimes I get a little paranoid and today I was like yell singing her first album in the car at the top of my lungs but I was in a work car and part of me was like what if they have like secret cameras in here to monitor that were like actually working and not like texting and driving or something and the government has footage of me somewhere scream singing in my fake country accent

 

I demand the release of a Long Pond Sessions for Evermore
