I deal with Coachella every year so I'm cool with one day instead of 4 haha

 

I haven't gone to Coachella haha. I'm not getting there till the TEN set so hopefully shortly after that it'll start cooling down somewhat. My phone says it'll only be 90 as the high though so who knows what it'll actually be.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't really like "187." I kind of wish it stayed retired and we got something else instead, like something off of "Still Searching."

 

Don't miss Quicksand, dudes!

 

They've got to start changing things up. As a long time fan, I've seen countless variations of this setlist. It would've been cool if they did still searching in its entirety even if just for toc

Yes.

 

I'm just sad that Senses Fail isn't playing any tracks from The Fire. I hope they change the setlist up and do a tour that hits Michigan.

 

None of these songs are bad on the SF set, but it's kinda lame they are leaving out the fire, only playing the intro track for Waiting Room and the slowest track from reancer.

 

How was the fest yesterday? And how was the turnout? I was upset to see about a month ago that they were selling much less than expected...hope it filled out.

 

I would have gone to the show just to see The Anniversary and Quicksand. All of the other bands would just be the cherry on top. Sounds like Steve took food breaks during the two best ones! Haha. QUICKSAND GUYS!!!!

I wonder what all the set lists were.

 

There were just as many people there yesterday as there were when they did the one off Taste of Chaos festival in San Bernardino last year.

The Anniversary, The Getup Kids, and (especially) Quicksand got little to no reaction from the crowd. I heard MANY people say things like "who are these guys?" and "why are they playing?" It was pretty frustrating.

I got there as the Anniversary were halfway into their set. It gave me time to grab a drink and a place to hang out to watch the Early November. I spent the rest of the show watching the bands I came to see (Saosin, Starting Line, TBS) and catching up with some friends I didn't know would be there.

It was a decent day out. I liked last year's lineup much more, but for $40 and free parking it was a good way to spend the day. What really upset me the most were how many people (and there were hundreds, if not thousands) who were there simply to relive their high school nostalgia and couldn't give a shit about bands that weren't TBS or the like, and basically shit all over anyone who still regularly goes to shows. I'm having a hard time vocalizing my opinion and it's probably coming off a bit petty, but I just know that I left last night with a small bitter taste in my mouth.

One last thing - Saosin killed it. Anthony was on fire. It made me think about what could have been if he had stayed in Saosin.

the starting line was the main reason i went and the other bands were just a bonus p much. it was so worth it just to finally see them again after 3.5 yrs

wanted to punch the pair of fucking tall white dudes who booed when tsl said they were going to play a song off direction and glared at me for singing along to non-siylmi songs, then asked me if i wanted to "get up there" and then literally shoved me into a mass of people. fuck u

it was basically a nostalgia fest for old white ppl, but was still v cool

 

Quicksand? Bad? Get outta town!

 

Did not like it at all, thought it was extremely boring and killed he vibe of the show

 

What a dingus. I wouldn't have been very nice to those guys. Someone tried doing that to me at Mayhem Fest once (2009 I think.) A couple of burly middle aged Slayer fans kept talking shit on me and my friend for singing along to Bullet For My Valentine. Needless to say, he pissed me off enough that I spilled an 8 dollar Gatorade over his head and moved to the other side of the pit to not be bothered.

 

Slayer fans continue to be the worst.
