    Good. Talk about unnecessary.

Yeah it would have made way more sense to do a little mini-EP of songs from the 3 albums without John where they re-record a few tunes with him. I know John and the band would have had no interest in that either of course. But it would have been cool to hear some studio recorded versions of some Fred and Matt-era songs with John's voice.

Adam and John did those acoustic versions of a couple songs that were realllllllllly bad.

Yeah, those sounded like they were recorded on an iPhone voice memo app.

I think they literally put a MacBook in the middle of the room they were in and hit record. They sound awful haha

So here’s the question for those going to the MCR shows - is Adam stepping up his game a smidge?

I saw them at Riot Fest and it was par for the course. I think John actually sounded worse but it sounded like he may have been sick or losing his voice. Nathan stepped in a couple times for him.

I’ve never had a problem with TBS live though. It’s always just been fun and they were fun at RF.

TBS sounded pretty good (some parts even great) opening for MCR in Portland. My friends and I couldn't believe how vastly different the quality of performance was from just this past summer when they opened for Third Eye Blind at an amphitheater. I think it was a mix of crowd participation (MCR crowd of course knew the songs more than the TEB crowd), but also just generally played much better. Adam dropped the "revival pastor" persona and even sang a lower key on some songs.

Despite that, they still played Makedamnsure in the original key, which sounded bad. They really need to drop the key so Adam can get through it. It's always the last song, and it's always a struggle for him.

30 min. First opener was at 7:30, TBS @ 8:15 or 8:20, then MCR I think at 9:10.

MCR has been going on pretttty much exactly at like 9:25-9:30 each night but their intro track comes on like 10-15 mins prior to them taking the stage. Its kind of annoying how long it is lol

ahhhhh yeah, good call on that. I was freaking out cause that noise started and I was up in the 300’s visiting with some friends and had to get back to the 100’s where my seat was. I realized how out of shape I was getting back to the first floor of the arena after running almost half of it. That noise lasted foreverrrrr. :eyeroll:

They then posted a video to their FB page where it starts out live, and then goes into the recorded track.

Reminds me of this classic from the Taste of Chaos DVD I bought from Hot Topic in 2005. DVD featured a bunch of live performances, then Senses Fail pulled this shit lol

I fell asleep watching Youtube last night, woke up to a Q&A video from Fred where he said he turned down joining Dashboard Confessional, Hawthorne Heights (didn't join because they were in Ohio and he wanted to do his own thing), DRUGS (Craig Owens and him didn't seem like it was going to work out) and tried out for Breaking Benjamin (asked by the band to send a video, timing just didn't work).

    Jesus.

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I preferred Fred in the band over John. Doesn't seem like he'll ever work with them again, but crazier things have happened.

I prefer the Fred albums the most, but Fazzi-era live.

But I also hold Happiness Is and Tidal Wave in high regard.

I don't think it's a hot take, this thread is probably 47% John, 47% Fred, 6% Fazzi lol

  24. Fazzi is a better vocalist (maybe all around musician) than anyone that's been in TBS

Real shame Fazzi’s voice didn’t get much of a chance to shine on New Again. Glad that we got two live albums from that era, though.
