Maladroit is their most fun album.

 

I haven’t listened to it since 2002. I remember the leaked demos being cooler than the actual album.

Blue, Pinkerton, Green, Maladroit, EWBAITE, White and OK Human are all at least great. Everything between Maladroit and EWBAITE ranges from mediocre to awful. Pacific Daydream and Black are kind of just there.

Why is Happiness Is so low on those two lists it is clearly the best post-reunion album.

Also I will stand what I said before that Self Titled isn’t really a bad album, it’s more that it definitely feels like a band learning how to write together again and feels more like a collection of songs than a cohesive album. Which is weird for me to notice because I’m not one of the “need to listen to the album in complete” types of people usually. So albums not being cohesive doesn’t always bother me

 

Happiness Is and Tidal Wave are miles and miles ahead of Self Titled. But all three are good.

Relistened to New Again last night and it holds up pretty well, but has a couple clunkers IMO

 

so many good albums came out friday you couldn’t pay me to listen to those old bad albums

 

new again is drizzly shits
