There are a lot of cool instrumental ideas on the album, but it does feel there isn't a really skilled songwriter like Fred or John there to help tie most of it together.

White album has some decent tracks on it. Hence when I originally said “mostly” lol

I remember thinking Weezer was coming back with a more classic sound after White and then they put out Pacific Daydream... woof
