For real. Besides being a TBS fan and a Coheed fan aren't mutually exclusive. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will be attending to see both.

And me! I love Coheed and TBS is my second favorite band; so I’m excited to see both. They’re both great live

I saw coheed with porcupine tree. not into their particular brand of prog rock but they were stellar live

If you’re looking for stuff that tbs will definitely play:
Cute without the e, makedamnsure, decade under the influence, set phasers to stun, tidal wave, and call come running are basically guaranteed to be on their setlist

The thing with twitter is: if you mostly follow people who have the same interests as you, you’re probably only going to see that people are only going for the band you’re interested in. I think there might be an even split overall. Or, if it skews one way, then it’s going to be more coheed fans just looking at the price of the ticket and the size of the places vs how frequently TBS plays and the size venues they usually play.

I’m pretty sure TBS had already agreed to the tour by the time tssf signed on. I read somewhere that another band (who, I don’t know) had been in that slot but then pulled out and tssf was who was put on. A few people on twitter were confused by tssf on this tour since John tweeted a LOT about the singer when he kicked that girl way back when. Awkward

Both band have diehard fans that have been around almost 20 years. I think it's a good chance to grow their fanbase by exposure to a group that might not otherwise check out their music.

Seeing TBS and Coheed in the same day will take me back to Warped Tour 2004, which was days after I graduated high school. I am very much looking forward to this show this summer, 14 years later.

Ik coheed have some something brewing but how active have they been over the past ~5 years? I’d imagine coheed’s draw is mostly to older die hards whereas TBS will retain die hards and I’d imagine more draw in this day and age given their poppier nature. All that is just to say, I wouldn’t necessarily expect coheed fans to dominate.

Coheed's last album came out in 2015 and they've been touring.

I can't say I've ever listened to The Story So Far, so I can't speak on their music, but two years ago the lead singer drop-kicked a young woman off the stage and that (rightfully) upset a lot of people.

Pretty sure John Nolan was pissed off about this incident and said some stuff in twitter about it. Which is why i was surprised they're even touring with them

Musically I really like them but they don't really fit, they're more aggressive and punk than these bands, and the singer is a pretty massive dick it seems, for the reason mentioned above.

there are so many weird Coheed lineups over the years. Coheed/Saves The Day, Coheed/Glassjaw, Coheed/Pianos Become the Teeth, Coheed/You Blew It (RIP), Coheed/Dredg/Blood Brothers, Coheed/Clutch, just to name a few. They've never restricted themselves to playing with only one type of band

I thought Coheed with glassjaw was awful! Saves the Day was ok

I once saw Brand New and Glassjaw together in 2009 and it was weird because Glassjaw basically came onstage and played in a round pretty much facing each other the whole time. They just walked on and started playing- no announcement/intro, the lights didn’t go down or anything. That being said, it was entertaining af. I couldn’t understand much of what Daryl was singing but his stage presence was sick
