Matt's voice was so underutilized on New Again. You're right the Live acoustic album, his voice SHINES. I love Nolan, but the last few times I've seen TBS live, it seems like he's screaming more live just for the sake of screaming. I also noted in here earlier that while I do miss and still like to hear the dual vocals, it seems almost to the point where when it does occur. it seems forced.

I think I saw that tour in Denver. The other bands were Cassino and Dear and the Headlights, right? Man that was awesome. I have the poster from that show in my room.

Yeah. Honestly one of the better shows I ever attended. Show was SUPER small and Straylight just played a bunch of requests. I saw them the day before they got dropped from their label...

Man, that's sad. TNTS was really good too.

The Needs, The Space is one of my all-time favorites. I actually enjoy it a lot more than their debut.

I love both of their full length, but their EP is my personal favorite. It Never Gets Easier and Big Shot are constant plays.

Yes, while the EP is shorter, I prefer most of the EP to their first album as well. Nothing against their first album, I thoroughly enjoy that too.

For real, some of the most enthralling and inventive guitar playing and songwriting I've ever heard has come from that album.

It really weirds me out that albums dont leak out like they used to. 4 - 6 years ago this would have leaked out 2+ weeks early.

Off topic but I love your profile pic. It might get you in trouble around here in certain threads though.

I'm happy it didn't leak though, must be so stressful for bands who put their all into an album.

My amazon vinyl preorder is scheduled to be delivered on release date. I figured some people might have started receiving theirs by now though.

Yea, if I recall correctly, I heard that he brought a lot of TAYF and WYWTB songs to the table. I think the main riff in "There's No I In Team" was his, along with "Cute Without The E" and "Great Romances". I think "Slowdance" is his as well.

I bet some people will get there's tomorrow. I feel like international pre-orders usually jump the gun. I think I remember an AP.net user in South American leaking the self-titled record when they received their pre-order a couple weeks early.

I thought the first half of The Color Fred album was really good. Essentially sounded like TBS b-sides. The Second half was pretty boring and uneventful. I disagree about Terrible Things. I very much enjoyed that album.

A part of me will always wonder what one more TBS album with Fazzi would have sounded like. Happy Body Slow Brain is awesome.

That was the problem with Color Fred though, it just sounded like he was trying so hard to TBS, but the b-side version of them

Not at all. I think it would be a issue if I was trolling or something. I am here for the music mostly. The Alt-right vs SJW thing is more annoying to me.

I think I had this photo sitting on my hard-drive making a joke about being offend so I decided to make it my profile.

If I remember correctly, The Color Fred album came out pretty quickly after it was announced he was out of TBS - like, weeks later. My guess is a lot of the songs that appeared on The Color Fred, probably were intended for TBS and either they couldn't agree on them, or he just kept them to himself.

Guess I didn't think of that, but you are probably totally correct

To be fair though, b-side TBS is normally pretty good.

Just doubled checked, the announcement of Fred leaving the band came out October 4, 2007...his album was released October 30 that same year. So, makes sense that he wrote those songs while he was in TBS and the rest of the band rejected them and he took them for his own album.

Taking Back Sunday Guitarist/Singer Fred Mascherino Leaves Band, Talks Solo Project - MTV

"After Louder Now, I think the band was headed somewhere I didn't want to go, musically. [Louder Now] was a rock album, and there were some songs that I had written that were more pop than anyone else wanted to go," he said.

"There is a direction Taking Back Sunday has been on since before I joined, and it will continue. When you're in a band that has history, then that band sometimes carries responsibilities and weight with it. And as much as I enjoyed it, I just needed to move on from something that happened so long ago."

Mascherino said he's written more than 45 songs over the past two years — the majority of which he said were intended for the follow-up to Louder Now — but when he found the majority of his ideas being shot down by his bandmates, he started to realize that perhaps it was time to move on.

"I hoped to write another record, for sure. But there wasn't a lot of writing going on between the five of us, honestly," he said, speaking in slow, diplomatic bursts. "We weren't really coming together. I felt like it was just a good time to move on, because I was pretty sure I could never make another record with these four guys."
