I mean, sure, but the person I first replied to said it's the same melody

I was gonna say, just because it sounds like it doesn't mean it's bad. I actually like the similarity.

The humor of a poster with the username Doomsday liking this post is not lost on me.

    this is all there is

yes, they were very nice, I thought holding hands through the entire playthrough of the album would be uncomfortable, but I ended up really enjoying it.

Tour set looks pretty solid. Although one song is an absolute dud and I don’t know why they’re playing it. Also, too much Louder Now when they have nothing from self titled.

Which one? (Please don't say "Divine Intervention".)

It is absolutely Divine Intervention. Adam played a 10 minute long version on the 20 year tour and it was god awful and killed the energy. I have no idea why they felt like it needed to be a part of this set.

Was it really ten minutes? "Divine Intervention" is my favorite TBS song ever (sorry) but I don't even think I can handle a ten minute version. If kept to the original length, I think it'd be some nice downtime between some higher energy songs.

They have a ton of songs they could play more chill versions of to rest for a song. I guess I can hope they swap it out for almost any other song before my show. Mine is two months away.

I still really wanna hear "Divine Intervention" live because it's my favorite song but I understand your reasoning.
It would be really cool if they play "Carpathia (Dance Dicaprio Version)" live. They kinda did that with Orensanz though.

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

Would be hilarious if they started playing “Didn’t See That Coming” (a song I actually love btw).

I was at the 20-year tour and definitely don’t remember a longer than normal version of DI.

I also saw them play it live on the original LN tour when they were playing venues 5x bigger. Didnt think it killed any vibes.

Incredibly underrated song. Lame that only the Orensanz version (which is still good) seems to be on YT Music at least, not sure about other streamers.

It's a nice song to play while Mark takes a break from the drums. Or, in this case, the fill-in drummer.

Some of the best lyrics Adam’s ever written, and amazingly performed/produced.

Honestly, yes. Even though there are so little. Like someone on SongMeanings said, every word was chosen deliberately. It's haunting.

That “Oh, gently please, won’t you take your time with me? Oh, Jenny please, stop talkin’ ‘bout dyin’ like we haven’t tried it.” is a near-perfect chorus.
