my friends and i have been playing marvel united/x-men united a ton the last few weeks. so much fun! i'm looking forward to maybe combining the games to see how that goes.

 

This is one of my all-time favorite games! It's so fun to mix and match the sets. Definitely combine them!

 

My game group has started "Around the World in 80 Games" thing. Playing games with themes of cities or places to travel around the world. I'll let you know how it goes.

 

Got my 2nd Final Girl Feature Film in the mail today.

Assuming that I didn’t miss anything and followed the rules correctly, I got my first win against Hans! Was an intense final showdown as he had endless attacks but I was able to block them and retaliate thankfully!

lol I told my wife this week that I was stopping at 2…then immediately bought a 3rd. Seriously I’m stopping there…for now

 

I haven’t tried Final Girl yet. I’d worry I’d get sucked in with all the content. Lol

 

Yeah I’m not nearly disciplined enough and it can add up FAST! I’ve had to stop myself many times from buying the miniatures, playmats, vignettes,etc

 

Played Camp Happy Trails again tonight and got utterly destroyed. I’m really loving this game! Love how every game is so unique and different

 

Did our first five player game of Root. Took about three hours, very intense and crowded board. Still had fun!

 

Won another round of Final Girl!

Really surprised I pulled it off because I felt very outmatched at the beginning, finally got some decent dice rolls and took it to a showdown at the end. Ended up only losing 1 health total!

 

Is there a lot of replayability in Final Girl?

 

For sure, as long as you have at least 2 feature films. Each feature film box comes with 2 Final Girls so that right there has so replayability in itself. Then switching up the location/Killer combo(which I haven’t done yet) would up the replay value.

Also each location and killer have special rules/abilities so they would all play differently depending on the location/Killer combo

Also got in my first game of Lost Ruins of Arnak tonight. Fun game with a lot going on, but it wasn't too overwhelming.

 

The tokens are so cute! Was a pleasant surprise after playing the BGA version first

 

Arnak is a wonderful game. I don’t have it, a friend does, but I’m always happy when they pull it out.

 

I'm about halfway through an async game of The Castles of Burgundy on BGA, and it turns out that this universally beloved game is indeed quite good!
