I was listening to an episode of RHAP and he was talking to Aussie Survivor podcast host Shannon Guss and he was commenting on how the two shows are so different and the way they're edited lends itself to Aussie's favor. He said US is an exploration of the human condition and the journey of it's 18 people whereas AUS is the game that's being played by 20 people, and to give an example he said "take Kelly.....were not exploring Kelly's journey or the experience she's gonna have at the end of this, were watching who she is NOW. Do we need her backstory? No. Did Garrick grow gow as a character? No. But he gave us good TV."

And that's a super good comparison.

Solid premiere tonight. Jelinsky maybe the most obvious first boot in Survivor history lol…dude quit the sweat challenge and straight up told his tribe he had no vote.

However I’m afraid him throwing the hourglass and also “several means seven” make him an icon.

I woke up today thinking about how several means seven because it's right there in the word

AUS: fucking brilliant. Feras and Raymond must have like a final 2 or 3 or SOMETHING, cuz that's some serious faith Feras had in him. Ray could've EASILY wrote down Feras name down and taken down the biggest threat.

Feras and Kirby, after seeing them go for each other pre-merge it's great they're finally working together. If Feras doesn't win this, she's my #2 to win this.

That was the most humiliating way to go out holy shit. The fake idol wasn't even the worst of it either. Just a complete disregard for her or her dignity.

Forreal. Like I'm gonna red and watch her exit interviews but damn I feel so bad for her and don't wanna hear her relive all that cuz sheesh.

95% of that episode was unecessary - Could've skipped it. They really didn't know what to do with a two hour time slot. Agree that the purple tribe is a disaster, and I'll be surprised if any of them last long at all. Their treatment of Jess was pretty unfair imo, and judging on how happy she was when she was voted out, I'm not even convcined that she wanted to be there any longer.

Also, WTF was up with Liz during that challenge? Screaming from the bench: NA-MI NA-MI NA-MI. YES. YES. YES. YES. YES.

I was pretty sure that Liz and Moriah were the same person, and after seeing their conversation sitting on the benches during the immunity challenge, I'm definitely convinced they are.

I’d love to watch that challenge back (if only bc it was a shitshow) but my reaction in real time is that the purple tribe were being overly harsh about Jess’s performance in that challenge. From my perspective, she looked like the only one who was consistently giving an effort.

Bhanu had no clue how physics works, Kenzie was barely attempting to do anything, and Tiffany was responsible for multiple drops. But they just yelled at Jess the entire time.

In hindsight, I wonder if Q made a mistake. He could have EASILY had Jess and Bhanu in the palm of his hand to eliminate Tiff and/or Kenzie had he wanted to going forward.

I mean, he could've somehow convinced her to give it back or kept her so close that she never felt she had to use it while having her do his dirty work. It could've become a nothingburger. Or he could've come clean, tell her they wanted her gone but he's going to keep her safe. I think Jess' loyalty would have kept true.

    Maybe.

This was such a weird scene, makes me wonder if it was some kind of foreshadowing?

I'm fully embracing the contradiction of wanting Survivor to be grittier and then saying "not like this" to last night. That shit sucked and I feel terrible for Jess, the targeted aggression both during and after the challenge feels way beyond strategy to me

It's weird cuz I was listening to Tyson's podcast some weeks ago and he had Claire from 44 and she made mention that production isn't a fan of people conversing like that during challenges and they even one time put a plant between the benches and scooted them further away to make it harder. Pretty sure they even straight up told her SHHH lol.
