Wake Up and I'm Alive both got a little bit of play like right when they were released but that's it. They aren't even played on the regular or anything which is such a shame. It's not like they forgot about the band because Phil is one of the hosts on their morning show lol.

They still do sell out the Pageant I think every time they play which is fantastic. If you do end up coming here, I'm down to meet up at a show for sure!

 

So pumped for this record.

 

I love SOTY to death and I would also like to see them have some success with this album, but in all honesty, I think that ship has sailed for this type of music - no matter how much synths and stuff you throw in there. I know I will love the album, and hopefully all of you guys will too. But has this genre had any success at all for the last 10 years?

Hope they prove me wrong though :)

 

According to their Instagram we’ll get the album from pledge on the 1st not the 8th. Was this known prior??

 

Yes. All there promo ads say Dec 1-Pledgemusic Dec 8-Everywhere

It's in this video right above there name/logo.

 

I assume that's for digital. I wonder when the physical releases will ship out?

 

Hopefully that day too so it can arrive by the 8th

 

These three new songs are so good. Listened to them on repeat during my workout this morning.

It might be shaping up to be my favorite SotY record.

 

Went for a run with The Black Swan blasting. So many of those riffs are gnarly as hell. Outro of "The Angel In The Swamp" is a SOTY all-timer for me.

Did you guys see the Wolves Inspiration playlist they put up on Spotify? Thrice, Menzingers, Propagandhi, and Hot Water Music just to name a few. It’s rad.

 

That's a solid playlist that made me even more excited.

I wonder if they’re going to do what Thrice did leading up to the release of TBEITBN, where each member uploads their influences for the record. All the songs on the Wolves playlist right now definitely seem like Dan picks.

 

I'm so excited for Friday. Like more excited than i ever was for Santa to break into our house.
