I've had such a meh reading year. I think it is because I am in a transition period of reading journey where I am having a hard time being excited by the types of books I usually would gravitate towards.

But man, 11/22/63 is really doing it for me. About 300 pages in and we're barely even in Dallas but it's just so good. I knew this was considered his best "modern" release and I loved the tv series forever ago ... but reading it now and it's living up to the hype.

Just finished On Writing. Loved the half-memoir, half-writing and editing tips structure. Favorite part was the editing section using 1408 - love to see what goes into a first draft and how he self-edits for pacing and fat-trimming.

Also - stoked for this movie after seeing the trailer before Heretic.

currently up to Eyes of the Dragon on my Dark Tower journey. this is really cool especially if you imagine it as a story being told to young Roland

    I have finished 11/22/63.

It could be recency bias, but I am not afraid to say this might go down as arguably my favorite of all time. What an absolute joy to read and an ending that puts the "he can't write a good ending" to shame.

I stupidly watched the show way back when and have purposely waited to read this one, but it was so, so, so worth it.

After absolutely loving The Long Walk, it's taken me a little while to get fully into Needful Things, but it's cooking now and I really want to finish it over this long weekend.

But damn, The Long Walk makes you physically tired reading it.

the ending of 11/22/63 is phenomenal, thank Joe Hill for that one

I'm up to Wizard and Glass again on my second trip to the Tower, this really might be my favourite book he's ever written

I think 11 is definitely his best post-2000 book (shoutout Revival too) and has a decent shot at being top 10 overall. not too shabby considering the amount of books this man has lmao
