Man, I have been JAMMING this over the past few days. What an awesome record.

 

Living Proof is currently #6 rock album on iTunes and #22 overall. Pretty great to see that!

 

This band is really 2018 The Starting Line.

Not a bad thing.

100% nope.

The closest thing to The Starting Line we've gotten in recent memory is the latest Real Friends single.

 

I’m really excited for the new Real Friends album. I think it is much more in the vein of TSL.

I wish I liked this more than I do. I just find it really bland mostly.

Criminal, Mine is Gold, Lightning and Crystal Ball are good though.

Hoping it grows on me.

 

Losing Myself literally rips off the verse rhythm section from Best Of Me. Lots of lead parts on this album are very much in the same vein of Say It Like You Mean It.

 

The Fix Up sounds like an Underclass Hero-era Sum 41 song.

 

the melody on the first song of this album is super good- i didn't really vibe with much of the record, but I think it's the first song of theirs I like since the EPs era

 

I would argue The Dangerous Summer's - Reach For The Sun sounds like the closest thing to

You’ll prob like their new song then too.

 

Okay so after my post i listened twice and on the second listen I like this.

It has less spectacular highs than their other albums but it is far more consistent.

Dead and Gone is my least favourite track, but Crystal Ball, Frozen, Criminal, Lightning, Safe Haven and Something About You are all great.

 

Does anyone else think the singles they've released are the weakest songs? I'm talking about Dead and Gone, Mine is Gold, and Our Time to Go. Add Cut Through The Static and those are the songs that should have been cut IMO.

Our Time To Go is great though.

 

What how do people not like Cut Through the Static I DONT GET IT.

 

Our Time to Go is one of my favorites- it's the only one that hits me emotionally.

 

Time Machine and The Fix Up are the songs I dont like as much. Dead and Gone is kinda there as well.

 

I love Time Machine

 

I think it’s a standout on the record.

That chorus though

 

I, too, love Time Machine.

 

Favourite tune on this one is "Safe Haven".

 

I even have come around on the final track, "Sidelines", I just really wish it didn't do that awful fade out, which if you ask me is a terrible way to end any record.

 

I really enjoy Our Time to Go

 

Some good songs on here, and I didn’t expect to like this at all after the last album and hearing Dead and Gone.
