Next three Star Wars film currently set for December of 22,24,26.

 

Weren't we just told the Star Wars series will be on a hiatus after the one coming out next year??

 

3 years between TROS and the first of the new trilogy. I would consider that a hiatus after 5 movies in 4 years.

 

They’ve come out basically one per year. This will be a three year break.

Three years is a solid hiatus. Also, that article reminded me that we are getting four Avatar sequels and I still don't know why (I mean besides money, obviously).

 

I mean we got Mandalorian this year and possibly next year. Cassian series, and who knows maybe another in 2021. Well have enough Star Wars.

Im just a little nervous about Rians trilogy though. Are those three movies all Benioff and Weiss'? thats probably most likely or is it B&W in 2022, RJ in 2024, B&W in 2026.

I hope man. Star Wars doesn’t NEED to come out at Xmas every year. Would be cool if maybe starting in 2023 we get Rians trilogy in the summers of the Avatar years.

I think not wanting to conflict with the Avatar schedule is throwing a wrench in how they wanted to schedule these.

 

Yea, I don't know, but I'm going to remain hopeful. I really want it to move forward because I'm way more interested in what Rian would create than the GOT guys (even though I do enjoy GOT).

 

As I mentioned in TLJ thread I’m hoping Knives Out rocks and it changes the narrative around it all. If it’s a hit I think it’ll happen. If it’s okay or doesn’t do well financially I think it’s scrapped.

 

Probably my most anticipated movie of the year outside of TROS or John Wick. That cast is stacked and Rian Johnson returning to a detective style story has me so hyped.

 

Since this is the place I talk Star Wars online, quick plug for a little project I’ve been working on and sharing with friends.

I generally keep a Star Wars tab counting down the days until the next film and always marathon the previous films in the days leading up. This year since it’s the end of the Skywalker saga, I wanted to ramp it up a bit. My wife helped me create a series of calendars that lead up to Episode IX. Instead of counting down the days, each day gets an episode of either the films or animated series. I’ve arranged it in chronological order containing all films, Clone Wars, Rebels, and Resistance (S1). Figured it’s a structured way to watch it all in order if you haven’t yet, or get you primed and ready for IX even if you have. Super nerdy, but I love Star Wars and I know a lot of you do, too.

My sister works at Disneyland and got to go on the Millenium Falcon today 3 times. She says the gunner rotates like in the movies. Dear me I'm so excited.
