Definitely reading that one next.

 

This definitely kills a lot of fan theories. I'll have to pick this one up.

 

i'm not going to hover over that because i'm too excited for the book. But i've heard the novel does kill a number of theories, and adds a crap ton to the post jedi pre TFA era. soooooooooooooo pumped.

 

It's mostly me saying a couple theories that are most likely lost/shot down by one two facts I revealed. They had to do with when the book takes places and what two characters are doing during that time. So nothing major. I'm pretty sure at least part of it was officially released. But I don't feel like checking, so I spoil tagged just to be safe.

 

even though it hasn't been that long, Luke could have been reclusive for longer before that, and the only ones who really know about him are those being trained/close to him.

 

That is not what TFA implies though. But we do not know. The book should offer some insight on that though.

 

Are these considered canon? Haha

Finished Dark Disciple last night and loved it. Starting Lost Stars today. Hoping to have it read within the next week or so.

 

Halfway through Bloodline. I like it a lot so far, but I expected a little more of some things. But I'll always want more, so I can't hold that against the book. What is there so far is really good. A lot of great Leia stuff.

 

Finally sitting down and starting to watch Rebels tonight. Halfway through episode one and I'm liking it so far.

Looks like I'm going to have to watch Hail Caesar

 

I have faith in this casting. Will be looking forward to this.

 

Alden in a Phil Lord/Chris Miller movie would have my attention Han Solo or not. If not for a tap-dancing communist Channing Tatum in Hail Caesar, he might have stolen the whole movie.

 

He was so stupidly entertaining in Hail Caesar

 

I had a slight preference for Egerton but Ehrenreich is good also. Between him and Lord & Miller I'm now interested in a film that probably isn't a particularly good idea in itself, anyway.

 

Just finished up Lost Stars. Such a fantastic book.

 

Also just finished Lost Stars. Really enjoyed it, and for some reason I didn't expect the stuff about Jakku so that was really cool.

 

I really liked Bloodline, but Lost Stars is still my favorite from new canon so far.

 

Finished Bloodline and loved it. I would put this at the top of the suggestions for new readers trying to get into the books because there's a lot of things that I think will payoff really well going forward into Episode 8. I like Lost Stars a little more, but this is a must read for fans of TFA, especially those wanting more of the political climate.

 

I'm halfway through bloodline now. I'm taking my time. I went halfway through the book, stopped, and re-read the entire first half again just to make sure i completely understood and knew the characters all the way. (plus i saw an interview with Claudia Grey saying she pictured Tom Hiddleston playing Casterfo, so i had to start over with him as that character lol)

I did catch some of the excerpt from the new Aftermath:Life Debt book, and i'm excited for it. Especially after finally re-reading the first Aftermath.

Also possible spoilers for Aftermath and next season of Rebels (really just my speculation mixed with a rumor) I think we see Grand Admiral Thrawn in the new Aftermath book. They hinted to him as an admiral in the first book, and now the preview from the new one refers to the character as "the grand admiral". There also has been rumors that we're getting Thrawn in Rebels, and he's going to be one of the main villains. The same sources said Ezra was getting a new character model next season, and the cast has already confirmed that in interviews. I didn't read the old EU, but apparently Thrawn was with the empire before a new hope, then went into exile before the events of a new hope. Apparently he comes back after jedi to lead the empire, and that would basically the same story they're trying to tell here.
I think it would make sense that we get a 1 hour season three movie of Rebels (like we did around the same time last year) to introduce the character, and at the same time get to continue his story years later in Aftermath within the same month.
I think they show the movie to guests at Star Wars celebration, and within the next week or two air the episode on TV, close to the release date of the book, which is late july. [/spoilers]

 

Anybody else collect the 6 inch Black series stuff? I snagged an Ahsoka and Kanan the past couple days. I am oddly happy that Kanan's lightsaber can break down to two pieces like it does in the show.

 

these are the only thing other than Funko Pop! i've considered collecting, but like most things i just don't have the display room for them. But I've seen the Ahsoka and Kanan in Walgreens stores lately, and came very close to buying them. they look awesome. Love how they're made to look realistic instead of cartoons.
