It was saying Andor s2 cost $290 million and was the most expensive Star Wars project. Which I think in context doesn’t mean much as it was just within a financial year.

Am I tripping or does it not say who he would have played? I’d assume Han?

im assuming han too, he didn't say which character, i think he just turned down the movie in general before knowing what character he'd play. but he is right, his career definitely would of been different, but also bullet dodged since harry ford is the only actor from that series to eclipse his role where every other actor is known for the wars in the stars..

i only had DVD copies of the prequels as a kid, so that wouldn't have been something i was exposed to. my dad might've had copies of the OT on his DVR, i think, but i originally remember watching them thanks to Blockbuster and a friend who had the DVDs. didn't have anything physical of my own until i snagged the 4Ks last year.

The extras on the prequel DVDs go off though and make even the worst parts of that trilogy worth it. Only DVD extras that tops them are the LOTR trilogy’s imo. I think they’re the only movies I made sure to have copies of the extras for plex.

I did watch the special edition on VHS every weekend from the day it came to home video til about 3 years later. I don’t think I’ve ever popped in one of the dvds

I only watched the original trilogy as a kid on VHS tapes that my parents taped off of the television and removed the commercials. Pretty sure there was a CBS or NBC logo in the corner of the entire movies.

was at a local thrift store today and found both volumes of the 2D Clone Wars microseries for like $7 a piece (as well as DVD & VHS copies of the OT). thought about going back to buy both discs, but i also know the HD transfer they have on Disney+ might look better on my TV, so i might hold off

The dvd specials for TPM are awesome. Seeing George’s somewhat negative reaction to the first screening of what he created is fascinating.

The BTS documentaries for TLJ and TROS are also pretty fantastic. The TROS one almost made me believe it was a good movie for a second there.

That moment when the lights go up and it's dead quiet and everyone's just looking around uncertain of who's going to say it first and George kind of mutters "I may have gone too far in a few places" and it cuts to Rick McCallum's stone face is so real.

on a related note, i wish that DVD/Blu-ray/4K menus were as good as they used to be. i remember when the PT and OT got DVD releases, they always used different bits of scenery from the films for the menu backgrounds (regardless of which menu you were on), and iirc, they were also randomized, so you never got the same background twice. idk if the initial Fox Blu-rays has those menus, but from what i can recall, every Disney rerelease has mostly been bare bones - with a static image on the screen with maybe a few moving parts. it's not as fun as the older discs, and it's a little sad, lmao.
