Just finished Rebels 4x10 Jedi Night where Kanan dies another Filoni animated all timer.

Now I just need to read Thrawn: Treason (which takes place after that episode) and then do the last few Rebels episodes and I'm finally done with this part of my huge Star Wars canon intake.

 

No idea how you have that kind of time to mow through all of this but my hat off to you

i'd honestly love to get into some reading (particularly the High Republic cycle given current events), but grad school has sucked any willpower i have to do any free-reading.

 

I’ve been listening to the second high republic book (The Rising Storm) at night. I keep falling asleep like 5 mins in and then waking up 20 mins later in the middle of some crazy battle.

 

I’ve assumed the connection to Vietnam was there but never heard him get so specific

 

Finished Rebels. That finale was the first Star Wars thing ever that made me tear up and gave me goosebumps. Goddamn Dave Filoni knows how to nail an ending.

 

It's just so good. Bringing back the Space Whales in a pivotal moment after 2 years of people complaining about that episode was the cherry on top.

 

George was one of the front runners to direct Apocalypse Now before he started making Star Wars

 

Watching Rebels while reading the canon Thrawn trilogy was weird. There is definitely a contrast between Filoni's straightforward villainous Thrawn and Zahn's more morally complicated Thrawn. I hope they flesh Thrawn out and add some more book elements to Ahsoka season 2.
