This conspiracy thriller Ahsoka arc to close out 5 is incredible

 

Oh and yes I did just skip that droid arc. I might skip the Windu/Jar Jar arc next season too .

 

the Windu Jar Jar arc actually gives a conclusion to another pretty important character believe it or not lmao. one with a connection to Maul

if you must skip something in s6 I'd recommend the Padme/Clovis arc, it's unbelievably boring and you come out of it liking none of the characters more because they all act super dumb

 

I love how in the later seasons we are starting to see where everything ends up in Episode III gradually creep in. Republic getting more militaristic/fascistic, the senate and some of the populace starting to show distrust in the Jedi Order, Anakin having more frequent outbursts and showing signs of disillusion towards the Jedi Council as well.

I see why Lucasfilm gave Filoni the long monumental task of making the status quo depicted in the sequel trilogy make more sense in canon with much of the recent animated and live action stuff. He's pretty much proven himself a master in bridging the gaps of lore of the films in ways that compliment and in some cases improve the original material.

 

Following along with the @Halitosis Jones watch through is making me want to pull this out again.

 

It is boring, but it does give good character development into Padme/Anakin's relationship at least. It gives you probability the deepest look we have had in this show into Anakin's protectiveness and jealousy around Padme that we see blow up in Episode III

This was what my mind first went to as well lol

But I’ve also been rewatching Transformers Armada so it’s on my mind anyway

 

Transformers: Armada was MY Transformers growing up. would love to watch it again to see if it holds up at nearly 30.

 

It is…rough. The kids are just insanely fucking annoying now. It’s like nonstop whining for every one of them. Maybe it annoyed me as a kid but I don’t remember.

But it was also my Transformers and I think I had every single toy they released for it. I even had that massive Unicron one. Lol

 

i remember getting that as a birthday gift from my grandparents. i figured it might not hold up, but oh well.

 

My bad, I wouldn’t say I’m like hating it though. But it’s become more of a background watch and I’m enjoying it for what it is and I’ll still probably rewatch Energon next. But the damn kids just get really grating sometimes.

 

The actual conclusion to her character was in that Darth Maul comic. But it's nice they gave her character one last appearance on the show.

 

eh I don't agree s6 is literally the end of her story as we see it lol, that's what a conclusion is

 

totally get that. i was in 3rd grade by the time the show ended (which was over 2 decades ago) so my memory is probably hazy. i remember the side character kids being annoying as hell. really dug the Unicorn plot arc at the time (having seen the OG Transformers movie after my parents found it in Walmart's $5 VHS bin).

 

Oh memory is hazy for sure. Lol I would’ve been in like 5th grade probably.

But yeah give it a chance if you get the chance! Worst that happens is you turn it off after a few episodes

 

lmao, it's on Tubi, so i just might.

 

my partner is going out of town next week, so this might be a good time to watch (since we watch a ton of stuff together). the alternatives are (like others in this thread are currently doing) picking back up on The Clone Wars, watching through The Defenders Saga, or doing something totally different.

 

I mean the other two choices definitely have stronger material. Lol

 

true, but we did plan on watching through the animated SW shows together (after we finish up Doctor Who), and while i could go with The Defenders Saga, Armada seems like a shorter-term commitment. idk.

 

It is unfortunate that Ahsoka's big 4 episode return arc in season 7 is kind of bad. These sisters are annoying.
