Caught up on Bad Batch. The last four episodes were good to great. The bit with Palpatine in the senate was fantastic, it really made he feel like this daunting figure without even using the force. I also really loved the canyon episode. It was simple plot-wise, but I liked the dynamic between Omega and Tech. The last one was alright (had a solid Mission Impossible bit), but I was very nervous the Benny kid would join the crew. I found him a little grating.

Finally getting to Season 2 myself and I really liked the Cody/Crosshair episode, but the racing one frustrated me in so many ways. Why not have them be Podracers and why have one of the most identifiable clones in hiding become an underground racing star with his own name? Weird choices in that one.

I wouldn’t have been opposed to it being podracers. But I don’t care that it wasn’t either. And as for using his name, I think the Empire would have is unit number on a list and not his nickname. They don’t view them as real people, so they wouldn’t bother with it. That’s my take.

I think I just need to get over the fact that this show isn’t really doing it for me. I’m super into the stories they find them selves near like Rampart, Cody, Gungi, Senator Chuchi, and Rex, but I don’t care at all about the Bad Batch/Omega going on missions. Which is fine, everything doesn’t have to be for me, but being more mindful of that will make me care less and be less critical.

That Palpatine speech was perfection though! (Just finished that episode)

I dig it, but it’s not my favorite. Last season was too much of them meeting a different known character each week for me. I’m glad there’s much less of that this season. The first episode of season one was incredible though.

I finally did it, I got my girlfriend to start watching Star Wars for the first time!! We've only watched A New Hope so far but she loved it and is excited to see more which was the best possible scenario for me

I just caught up on the last 3 episodes of Bad Batch and they all ruled. hate to say it but losing a character was the smartest move this show coulda made, it's given the others so much more room to breathe. Tech's character development in The Crossing was so great

What a bad batch of words. *rimshot*

I’ve liked the second season more than the first. The first season was an endless barrage of episodes that was basically just bringing back someone from Clone Wars/Rebels.

I’d suggest watching episodes 3, 7, 8, and 11 of season 2. Those have been the standouts and stand alone pretty well. They are much more like Clone Wars.

Fair. I don’t think any of it has surpassed the extended s1 premiere episode for me. That one was great.

It seems like 2026 would be the earliest to reasonably think any Star Wars movie is coming out. I would guess 2027 is more likely since 2026 is already going to be crowded with Secret Wars and Avatar 4. I am very much okay with an extended hiatus for the films.

I’m not surprised because Kevin is going to be busy with the MCU for the next 100 years. Idk how he would have time for Star Wars

Lindelof’s movie being next gets me super excited because I feel like he’ll have a very interesting take/vision.
