Agreed. My thoughts were maybe cuz it's him and Billy Dee (rumor before said Billy Dee would be retelling a story as part of the narrative). You may be right tho, its odd that they didn't say anything about actors.

I'm kind of glad Lucasfilm is branching out from just Star Wars.

Am I reading it wrong, or is Obi-Wan no longer a limited series?

The cast for Andor has me pretty pumped ngl. That Patty Jenkins announcement video is lovely. Really hope Gina is not in Rangers of the Republic. But it sounds like they are doing the Marvel thing with Mando/Rangers/Ahsoka by having some kind of cross over event. Acolyte sounds like my jam! Quite excited for that one.

So much... but it all sounds promising. I’m giddy.

12 year old me would be so excited. 28 year old me is... probably just as excited.

    Content we knew about already:
    - Cassian Andor (currently filming, shared a sizzle reel)
    - Obiwan (currently filming, Hayden Christiansen back as Vader, sounds like him and Obiwan will duke it out)
    - Lesley Headland show is called The Acolyte and will take place at the end of the High Republic era. It will be about darkside users it seems
    - Taiki Waititi movie - currently writing
    - Trailer for the animated Clone Wars spinoff The Bad Batch was released

    New stuff:
    -
Rangers of the Republic (RoR) - tv show
    - Ahsoka - tv show
    - RoR and Ahsoka will crossover with the Mandalorian
    - Star Wars Visions - animated shorts from acclaimed anime directors
    - Star Wars Droids - some C3PO & R2 show
    - Lando show
    - 2023 movie will be directed by Patty Jenkins, it's called Rogue Squadron

EDIT: Here's it all in one tweet:

I think I'm most excited for The Acolyte, mainly because it's the only one that feels unknown.

I’m excited that Andor is a “spy thriller”. Deborah Chow getting her own series, and the Lando team seem super solid. The Visions idea is also cool. I’m definitely digging the diversity they seem to be prioritizing now.
Rangers of the New Republic also sounds BA, just by title alone.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

A little disheartening that they always fall back on trilogy characters over and over

resigned to the fact the old republic is never getting new content

The most interesting thing in all this to me is still Taika Waititi’s film, which is, what, five years away?

Bringing in Patty Jenkins for what could be a better version of Rogue One is intriguing. As much as I liked that one when it came out & still think some of the characters are better than people give it credit for, that’s not a style of Star Wars I need in my life. I don’t want my Star Wars “gritty” or whatever. But, based on Wonder Woman, I’m hopeful that she could take that “Star Wars from a soldier’s perspective” premise & inject enough pulpy flavor to keep it fun & Star-Wars-y.

I don’t watch The Mandalorian & am not excited for most of Marvel’s Disney+ stuff, so much of the rest here doesn’t hit for me, unsurprisingly. Vader being in Obi-Wan makes me simultaneously more & less excited for that one? Not a lot of thoughts on anything else right now.
