Endings are always tough. I've loved both movies so far in the trilogy, so as long as this is good and a fun time I'll be happy.

Endings in a movie alone are tough. Let alone a trilogy. Let alone the culmination of a 40 year old saga. Let alone in a franchise where the demographic of fans are so diverse, rabid, and impossible to please.

This is probably going to be the last movie to feature the classic opening crawl, feel like that should be special to this saga.

I bet the crawl comes back in future movies if they're also serialized instead of one-offs.

Man hadnt even thought about that possibility. Thats kind of sad to think about.

My hope is that going forward in the franchise, they refer to The Phantom Menace - Episode 9 as the Skywalker Saga. And it has its own style. The crawl. John Williams music. Rebellion vs. The Empire. Then Rian Johnson and Benioff and Weiss will have different Saga names. The Broom Kid Saga / The Old Republic Saga lets say. Each kind of has their own unique style. The Old Republic movies start off with narrations. Broom Kid Saga does something else stylisticly to stand on its own. Each have their own unique composer and feel.

Speaking of composers anybody have any preference going forward? I definitely want Desplat or Kevin Kiner for any project. Id like to see what Zimmer could bring to the franchise too. Shore or Djawadi would definitely be appropriate for Benioff and Weiss' trilogy considering GOT and LOTR. On top of those names I really loved what Nicholas Hooper did for the Potter franchise with Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince and think his lighter tone might be good if Rian's trilogy is also a more playful and fun tone.

    I do not exist.

This is a Disney money making machine now. No way that iconic crawl won’t be used in the future.

    Cliff Martinez.

Not "Star Wars"-y, but he rules, & post-IX, I want them to really expand what "Star Wars" can mean.

Yeah Disney just might want to wait until after Captain Marvel is out to reveal the title. Idk at this point.

I’m not too familiar with Martinez but Game Nights soundtrack was incredible.

Agreed with the last sentence whole heartedly and great way to put it considering people so many complain about "not feeling like Star Wars." I dont want what it means to be "Star Wars" to be put in a box and try to just recreate John Williams style (or anything from the OG trilogy). The only constants I want in Star Wars are:
    1) heavy practical effects and making sure the universe feels real and lived in.
    2) Push the boundries. Keep trying new things. Weird things. Bring in new creative visions.

Thats all. Anything else (Genre. Score. Cinematography) can and should change. Which really is my number two anyways. Id be down for a Star Wars horror movie. romantic comedy/ documentary on Therm Scissorpunch. Give it to me

Duel of the Fates would actually be a badass and apt name for this film

Give me a contemplative, conversation heavy slow burn western style Star Wars one off movie with Nick Cave and Warren Ellis doing the score.

Hell, Nick Cave write the movie, too.

In terms of titles I don't want it to be "____ of the ____". 3 movies in the series already have that format and every suggestion in that style had been really boring imo

Also don't want "Force" to be in the title

The only way to 100% guarantee we get another installment of the Skywalker saga is to call episode 9 Star Wars: The Final Chapter.
