Been going through the clone wars again and they say I have a bad feeling about this a lot. It might be in every episode.

Just finished Empire. I love how R2 just fixes the hyperdrive by seemingly plugging something in. There’s a ton of things I picked up on that I didn’t notice when I was much younger such as Vader trying to get him to turn during the fight by telling him to use his anger and all that.

 

Looks like i’m seeing this Wednesday.

I went to an ugly Christmas sweater party last night and a bunch of us were standing around a bonfire in the backyard. A few people were talking about their viewing plans for this movie next week and one guy was saying that he was going with a friend who is the most cynical SW fan ever and that it's entertaining for him just to watch the guy's reaction. He then went on to say TLJ has a bunch of deus ex machinas and characters that go nowhere.

During a pause in the conversation, I just said "I loved it," and one of the guys shouted "thank you!!" super loudly haha. I then went on to explain a bunch of merits of the film and what it did well and no one responded or had anything to say. Just another example of the mob mentality when it comes to piling on the hate.
