That I agree with. I'm not sure why we need two desert planets (and now a third one it seems with Pasaana).

They weren't widely panned. They just weren't viewed as highly as the OT.

It’s a can’t win situation. You have half the people saying there’s no reason for two sand planets like us, and then you have the other faction saying there’s no reason everything should happen on Tattooine.

I want to see more of Alderaan at some point. From the short clip in Ep III isn’t it pretty much just futuristic New Zealand?

Not counting comics or animated, I’d probably go with

    1) Coruscant
    2) Kamino
    3) Tattooine

I will give them credit here. They've at least varied the types of societies on the desert planets.

    Tattooine - Agricultural
    Jakku - Junk traders
    Jedha - Religious/Spiritual society

    Top 10 no order

    Coruscant
    Umbara
    Ryloth
    Tattooine
    Lothal
    Dathomir
    Mandalore
    Geonosis
Parnassos (planet from the Phasma book)
Mortis (if we consider that a planet?)

The only planet I don't like in R1 is Wobani. There's so much planet hopping in that one and I think it would have been simpler if the Rebels picked Jyn up on Jedha. They could have been forcing prisoners to mine kyber crystals instead of undisclosed work on Wobani.

Lah'mu and Scarif are great though. I'd visit either one.
