Nope. Jackson was horribly miscast for the kind of character George wrote Windu to be.

I personally do not want Kylo Ren redeemed. Nor should he be. Once he killed Han that was pretty much the end of any acceptable redemption in my eyes.

What's the consensus on Vader's redemption at the end of RotJ?

I know that everyone calls it a "redemption arc" but I've never really viewed it to that degree myself. In the end, he decides to renounce the Dark Side and kill the Emperor, but that one act (however momentous and difficult it may have been) doesn't erase the years of horrible things Vader did. So it's kind of a fine line for me.

I think it was more comprehensive than that with Luke starting to work on him when he first meets Vader on Endor. Vader's slight hesitation sort of foreshadowed what was to come.

What I'm hearing though is that the manner in which he is "redeemed" plays a large part in whether or not it works.

See I think the motivation for redemption and the things the character is being redeemed for is just as important, if not moreso, than the manner of redemption.

The Empire Strikes Back has the best of everything, including the title, haha

I have a question about the Knights of Ren:

Is there anything in these two movies so far other than seeing them at the very beginning of The Force Awakens? Because people really seem to want to know more about them and who they are, etc... and I used to as well, but now I'm thinking I don't really care seeing as they haven't had any effect whatsoever in 2/3 films so far. Were they built primarily through marketing or something?

All we know about them so far is that Kylo is/was "The Master of the Knights of Ren," and the one shot of Kylo standing with them in the rain during Rey's "forceback" in TFA.

And they might possibly be Luke’s old students. And they were most likely apart of or even leading the “legions” that Snoke sent to take over the galaxy in TLJ crawl

Okay yeah, that's the shot I was thinking of, thanks

I guess I don't personally need more to be satisfied with what they are or were.

I think the most appealing aspect of them in my mind is that it's a team of what seems to be powerful bad guys, and we haven't really seen that in the movies yet.

    Oh wow yea.

He’s a goner. I think him and Phasma leave the FO and open a B&ab together.

Sure, I totally get that. I think it could have been cool if they were introduced and used throughout the first and second movie, but at this point, I can't imagine we'll see much or any of them in the last film of a 40-year saga since every moment is so precious. And I'd be fine with that.

We've only seen 2 minutes so far, haha, but the less Hux the better, imo
