There are some things I don’t love about it, but nothing enough to taint it at all.

I love that these people seem so offended on behalf of George Lucas, like Disney has made it their life's work to undo his legacy...but if I remember correctly, wasn't Lucas pretty fond of The Last Jedi?

The funniest thing is that 95% of those people absolutely will watch the new Star Wars movies at some point.

It's amazing because the first one was ripped for being too identical to A New Hope haha

Hasn't it been reported that Lucas was going to have the new lead be female in his version too?

i never understood the hate on a female lead. in ESB and even RotJ, Carrie Fisher was as much a lead as Ford or Hamill.

edit: i definitely understand the hate, shitty people are sexist, but i meant that it's nothing really new for SW. Look at Rogue 1 as well. smh.

Having a female lead is great. Episode 7 was great. Rogue One was good. Solo was enjoyable.

I just didn't like Episode 8. It didn't feel like Star Wars to me which I know was the point that Johnson was going for so kudos to him. That being said, I highly doubt that any of the people protesting could have made a film better than TLJ.

  24. I wish I knew what people meant when they said "didn't feel like Star Wars."

I've obsessed over this franchise for like 30 years now and don't know what that means or how it could apply to The Last Jedi.

What I mean is that I didn't walk out of the cinema with the same rush that I had with previous Star Wars films. Yes, it has space battles, the force, lightsabers, and even Yoda but I didn't get the same sense of adventure that I had with the others. To me, the atmosphere of TLJ didn't line up with the other 7 films. It felt separated.
