I’ve been racking my brain again at how Rey and Kylo’s conflict can resolve.

I don’t think either of them want to kill each other. Regardless that kylo tells luke “I’ll destroy her” I still don’t believe him.

Rey’s ultimate victory would be to turn him. But then what? Throw him in prison? Send him to The Wall? Oh wait, wrong franchise. Even if she turns him, I don’t think everyone else in the rebellion would forgive him/ feel comfortable with him just hangin out.

I have no clue and that feeling is wonderful and the credit for that goes to Rian. He turned a narrative that’s fairly familiar and made it totally unique. No idea where this goes

Kylo is going to have to be his own downfall in some way. Either he'll accidentally kill himself due to his own hubris/anger or he's going to realize all his mistakes at the last minute and willingly off himself before he gets a chance at redemption.

Yea I mean in one way or another the bad guy usually defeats himself or is killed by his own creation. I do agree though. Only way I can think it happen. Rey can’t kill him. He can’t turn. Hopefully he doesn’t fall from a great height like so many villains do.

Only thing is his hubris/anger has been the reason hes failed throughout each movie. Thinking he didn’t need BB8 because he could read Rey. Then losing to Rey because he was unbalanced. Then getting played like a fool by Luke because he knew he’s so emotional.

We definitely need Kylo to actually like be competent during 9 otherwise the climax is just going to be like...yea we’ve seen him do this before. We get it. Who knows though. There’s like a thousand directions JJ could go with this.

I also wonder WHERE 9 will take place. As we leave them, neither the good guys or the bad guys have a home base. Will we return to one of the big cities ?

Good point. how fucking badass would it be if the First Order ends up taking over and their base is on Coruscant?! or MUSTAFAR!?

If I could just forget it

I predict Kylo gets the high ground but is still defeated.

    It's subversive.

Anybody hoping that that scene of the Knights of Ren in the rain with the piles of bodies in TFA ends up in 9? I kind of do just to bring that full circle but I think it might be weird if they bring back the mask again.

They wouldn’t have to. In that same vision Rey saw Kylo in the snow with the helmet, it we later found out that he didn’t actually wear the helmet when it actually happened.

ooo wow I had never even noticed that until now. Good point. who knows maybe he still wears his helmet just when its raining so he doesn't get wet. Im sure you can still get sick in a galaxy far, far away.

I have a hard time seeing Kylo staying bad the entire film and just dying and that’s that. Compassion will play a role in some way. We’ve also just seen a villain die because of his hubris. Also, then what was the point of Han’s death? The deed that split him to the bone for a movie and some, that seems kinda cheap.
Rey and Kylo’s destinies are somehow intertwined with the force, who knows how that will play out. I hope to see something new. Also, if the Resistance finds out Rey left Kylo and didn’t kill him, that’s going to upset a lot of people. You know Hux is obviously suspicious of Kylo (the girl killed Snoke and all of the praetorian guards... yeah right ha).
I also hope that Kylo matures and is actually a great leader for the FO. Still evil and all but maybe pays attention to places like Jakku, the planets often ignored. He is related to Padme and Leia so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Coruscant or Mustafar would be very cool to see again.

I dont want this documentary to end. So good. A little more respect for the casino scenes seeing just what went into making it happen.

That set is crazy ha. My brain gets a bit frazzled at the thought of them building those sets, tearing them down, going to locations, and just all the scheduling that they have to do.

And then having 10 minutes of screen time and the majority of people thinking its the worst part of the film/ripping it apart lol

Idk how you could want them to just kill Kyle off without him making some sort of change within himself. It works to do that with a more "pure evil" villain but Kylo is so complex and his conflict had been such a big part of these films that it would be weird for to off him without some sort of character evolution.

One could argue he devolved to pure evil.

A Rebels Maul/Kenobi type ending would be perfect for Kylo and Rey.
