Was it in here that someone posted a podcast discussing the score of TLJ/Star Wars? Thought I remembered seeing that and I'd love to listen but can't find it looking back through this thread

I’m looking for one of the edits to watch, this one, The Blackened Mantle, Neo Noir edits seems alright and available on YT. I think I’m going to watch the one you linked tho...I’ll report back lol

 

There used to be a series called Star Wars Oxygen, it was part of the Rebel Force Radio podcast. It appears they stopped doing it though :( def worth listening to all of it.

 

Yeah I saw it was a thing when checking out the podcast on the music of TLJ. I'll definitely be checking that out now, thanks!

 

They do it monthly/bimonthly at times. It’s been a few months, but still somewhat regular. They will probably be discussing VIII soon
Edit: I got curious and unless my feed is mistaken, they haven’t done one since Rogue One came out. Could’ve swore I heard a few since then, but perhaps time just flies. Prior to that it was monthly, hopefully it picks back up! If one gets posted for VIII I’ll for sure let you guys know.

 

Anybody see anything about that small mysterious thing in the sunset when luke died?

I’m sure it’s nothing, but you’d think they could easily get that out in post. Just curious. A lot of reviews I’ve seen noticed it as well.

 

Upon first viewing I thought it was a ship. No idea what it actually is.

Yeah its in the first shot and then in disappears in the next shot. Weird. Im sure if it does have significance, which it probz wont, it will be mentioned in the novel.

Glad other people saw it too though.

 

I saw it in the theater and was squinting to try and figure out what I was supposed to be looking at and figured they’d tell me, but then they didn’t. I keep forgetting about it until it gets brought up in here again every now and then. Good to know there are other Black Dotters out there.

 

Cant wait till it comes out it means nothing and fans get mad at Star Wars for once again baiting us that the black dot clearly means something. I almost hope that happens so I can laugh.

Another thought. Kylo says something about Rey's parents being buried on Jakku but I wasnt sure. It was hard to make it out. Anybody catch specifically catch the line more clearly?

 

Just that they were drunks who sold Rey for money and were in a junker’s graveyard.

It’s kind of weird they would’ve stayed on Jakku only to die. I wonder if shell go back to Jakku to leave some flowers.

Next question: What does Snoke call Hux and say about him when talking to Kylo after Hux leaves. Something about always keeping somebody like that. Idk if its because I have ear problems or the altered voice but i have trouble making some of the dialogue out.

 

I believe he calls Hux a “Rabid Cur”.

Rewatched Force Awakens for the first time since theaters yesterday... whoa that movie holds up great! Especially enjoyed the beginning on Jakku. Some of the initial establishing shots for Rey are so beautiful they should be paintings.

Upon rewatch, I get that there's a lot of ANH echoes (most notably the putting of plans into BB-8 and the "trench run" towards the finale), but they didn't take away from my enthusiasm. It was fun!

Finally, I'm way more into Poe the second time around. I had totally forgotten his "do you talk first, do I talk first" thing with Kylo Ren when he's first captured... lines up perfectly with his phone prank of Hux in the beginning of TLJ. H8rs gonna h8.
