i want to get into some expanded universe stuff so i looked around online... holy shit, what a tall order.

it's weird - wouldn't say this is my favorite Star Wars... but coupled with TFA, this trilogy has taken me from a casual fan to wanting to consume more of it. i started playing Lego TFA with my roommate last night and even the missions that bridge the gap from 6 to 7 were so cool. i want more of that.

Also fuck I dont think this has been touched upon much. how fucking great did Serkis do with Snoke. I mean for what little we got of him I thought he was so damn good. The first scene with Hux. The scene with him telling Kylo hes just a boy, not special and to take off that stupdi thing. SO GOOD. It actually had a dynamic that was more complex than Palpatine/Vader.

But the performance. The visuals. The dialogue. Fucking incredible in my opinion. I think most can agree on this and probably why a lot are complaining hes gone.

 

I was listening to an older podcast and they mentioned how when Kylo is forcing his way into Rey’s mind you hear a scream... never noticed until now. I think ach to might have played out differently orig in this film?

That high ground line always rubbed me the wrong way more than almost anything else in the entire prequel series.

 

Such a statement leads me to believe you have never attempted a spinning, back flip attack with your laser sword while your opponent is situated on a slight hill.

 

If only the Rebels had utilized Hyperspace Kamikaze in the OT

 

I don't think flying at hyperspace through something the size of a planet would work quite as well.

I don't know why but I'd like it if JJ had Rey's grandfather be Liam Neeson, and then fanboys are like "WTF why is it Qui-Gon Jinn?" but it's actually just actor Liam Neeson

 

What if you aim for the super laser cavity? Then it's just a floating trash compactor.

I actually almost feel like watching the prequels again for the first time in 10 years or more now that theyre memes

 

I want to watch the original trilogy but with dubs where every time Vader does something he immediately says "Now THIS is (thing he just did)!"

Have him interact with the characters, except they pay him no mind like he doesn't exist. Watch him slowly devolve into madness over the course of three films.
